0n 5 December 2015, our high school Vex teams participated in the Vex Robotics World Championships Qualifier event at Forest Hill College, Burwood East. Teams from Melbourne, Canberra and Goulburn came together to play the 2015 – 2016 game "Nothing But Net".

The games were very exciting with robots aiming balls into the nets. Sometimes balls were flying everywhere but into the net! All in all, a very exciting game and a great display of the capabilities of the robots of each team.

We were honoured to have Jason Morella President of the RECF visit Melbourne for the event. He along with Sue John, Co- Founder of Innovate Technology and Robotics Academy were the judges for the event.

Congratulations to the following outstanding teams:

Excellence Award Winner – Hillcrest Christian College Team 7479 (This team qualifies for the Vex Robotics World Championships in Louisville, Texas in April 2016!).

Tournament Champions – Dandenong High School and Hillcrest Christian College

Robot Skills Champion – Hillcrest Christian College
