Over the past 5 years, our junior students have been growing and learning robotics with WeDo 1.0 and it has been tons of fun and learning. Not only have the juniors made various cute models, they have also discovered how things work in the process.
Putting the pieces together have been challenging for some children, but most of them, with the right attitude, have continued to persevere and achieved their goals at Innovate Academy.
The beauty of WeDo 1.0 was the way it made robotics simple and fun for the young ones and it certainly built up the confidence of younger kids.
However, WeDo 2.0 takes it all forward literally! Our contraptions can now move away! Yes, we cannot wait to explore this with the juniors at Innovate Academy and at Innovate Tech Camps (our upcoming Spring Holiday Camps). Book your Junior’s place today!
We simply can’t imagine having reached our 20th tech camp in 2018. Way back in 2013 when we had our first tech camp, it was with the old LEGO Mindstorms NXT model for the Grade 3 to 6 students and Lego WeDo 1.0 for the junior students.
It was with the very cool LEGO Green City Challenge which kids found so exciting and come to think of it, although we were way smaller then in terms of classes and programs, we all had heaps of fun but we have never looked back since.
Innovate Tech Camps went on to develop various other STEM courses which focused on robotics, coding, technology and digital literacy. We have welcomed kids and teens from all over Victoria, various states of Australia and even overseas visitors. We fondly remember sharing great memories with lovely kids and teens who came in to learn because they love technology.
It’s been a great ride and we thank all our Innovate Tech Camps Alumni and the parents for entrusting your precious kids to us. We will continue to grow and develop even more programs in the near future. See you at one of our future camps soon!
At Tech Summer School, teens will get a chance to learn about the world of creative 3D printing. They will learn how 3D printed objects are made and how it all works. Plus, they will get a chance to design models and attractive pieces of art.
3D printing is a revolution and will bring out the maker in your teen.

One of the coolest technology in town has got to be Robot Virtual Worlds (RVW). Students and some schools are starting to adopt this new robotics platform which means there is no need for a physical robot!
RVW is a platform for students to do programming in a virtual environment and in either the classroom or from home. Students learn how to program using ROBOTC and try out many missions and challenges. RVW teaches students about STEM as students apply critical thinking, analysis, problem solving and calculations among others.
RVW is a motivator to kids as it has many missions to meet, challenges to overcome and badges to earn. The best part of RVW is how easy and affordable it really is.
Students are signing up for Robot Virtual Worlds in Summer 2015. Don't be left behind! Learn programming, unlock achievements, earn badges and impress others with Robot Virtual Worlds.
In January 2015, a new Tech Summer School will be in full force at Forest Hill College in Burwood East. Innovate Tech Camps Tech Summer School has robotics and technology courses for students from Grades 1 to 12.
Students are now able to choose from an array of courses designed for different age groups such as Robot Virtual Worlds (RVW), electronics and modular robotics, basic engineering concepts, game development using Scratch, Mindstorms EV3 robotics, Vex IQ robotics, Engineering with Arduino and even 3D printing!
Registration for Summer School has started! Check out Tech Summer School 2015 for kids and teens in Melbourne:
Thank you so much for your support and belief in giving kids and teens the opportunity to innovate! We are preparing all the logistics for each camp and are looking forward to impacting many kids and teens over the next two weeks!
Have a safe and fun-filled holiday and keep warm! We will be back with new exciting camps in the making.
