Certification Pathways
Certify your knowledge of TECHNOLOGY, ROBOTICS ENGINEERING & COMPUTER SCIENCE by taking official Innovate Technology and Robotics Academy exams.
Students in Year 1 and 2 will have an exam suited to their age group. Students in Year 3 to 6 will have a more advanced exam.
Qualification Criteria:
- Year 1 to 6 who are enrolled in a robotics or coding program at ITRA for at least one full term and midway through the second term.
- Must take the module corresponding to their specific Academy Program and follow age range on each module.
- The module is elective and non-compulsory.
- Not available to non-academy students.
A full academy certification granted is when students have completed and achieved a minimum of 75% on each level (from Levels 1 to 3).
Innovate Academy students have used these certification programs to widen their knowledge, challenge themselves and to apply for further studies and scholarships.
Robotics Certification Pathway
Robotics Certification is an exam that provides official certification on your knowledge of the robotics system related electronics, programming and physical computing.
Overview:
The Robotics Certification Pathway (available for Robotics Academy programs) is an Elective Module for Robotics Academy students who wish to take on higher learning to challenge themselves on their knowledge of robotics.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Are these exams theory-based or practical?
Levels 1 and 2 robotics & coding certifications are fully theory-based. CAD & Game Design certifications are project tasks to be done at home. Higher levels may include practical components and project-based assessments.
Can students complete Levels 1 and 2 together?
No, students must complete Level 1 before progressing to Level 2. Each level builds on the knowledge from the previous one.
What happens if a student doesn't pass an exam?
Students scoring below 75% can take a re-test. If they do not pass the re-test, they must re-register for that level.
Are the certification exams compulsory?
No, these exams are elective and designed for students seeking advanced challenges. However, they are compulsory for students participating in competitions through the Competition Certification Pathway.
Can non-academy students participate in these certifications?
No, only students currently enrolled in relevant programs at Innovate Academy are eligible.
How do the certifications support students' academic and career goals?
Is there a practical project requirement for all certifications?
Not all certifications require a project. However, project tasks are mandatory for pathways such as Game Design, CAD Design, Mobile App Development, and Competition Certification.
