The Mindstorms Robotics Academy is an exclusive weekly robotics academy program for students in Grades 3 to 6 based in Melbourne, Australia. It is a place where students will engage and learn the LEGO Mindstorms robotics technology as the primary tool in a highly motivated environment with other like minded students . Students will learn how the Mindstorms robot works and gain knowledge of programming using the LEGO Mindstorms software. Students will have access to the Mindstorms EV3 robots in the classroomweekly to work on their respective projects.

The Mindstorms Robotics Academy is a progressive academy which engages students with new topics and projects each term together with its secondary modules such as 3D printing, electronics, artificial intelligence and more. Students will exercise their creative thinking skills by building and programming their own robots to perform various missions. Projects, tasks and written worksheets are part of the Mindstorms Robotics Academy which is suited for students who are interested in an academic pathway.

Students who follow the Innovate pathway (at least two terms or more) will have access to special elective modules such as certification programs and be selected to participate in robotics competitions.

At the Mindstorms Robotics Academy, students not only learn how to make robots that work but in that process, they learn how to work with others, exercise the academy’s core values and develop a solution pathway to problem solving, which are skills they need for their future.
