Course Description: Python for Data Science using Raspberry Pi
Path: Computer Science | Systems Engineering Prerequisite: No prior experience in robotics required. Student should come with a positive attitude to learning new technology. A 4 day course, the Python for Data Science using Raspberry Pi is for students in high school with an interest in robotics and automation systems. Students are provided step-by-step guidelines on building a Image classification and Face Recognition system using Raspberry Pi electronics hardware.
Students may do the course even if they have no prior robotic skills or electronics hardware experience, though if they do, it would be a plus. Students will indulge in the world of mechanical assembly, electric circuit design, fundamental programming using Python and creativity with a whole heap of fun.
Students are expected to Bring Your Own Laptop (BYOD – WINDOWS LAPTOP). Materials for construction and other learning resources are fully provided for use in the classroom. Students are encouraged to bring a device to photograph and film their project.
