The Vex Robotics Competition Nationals was held in two parts this year because the weather in Wangaratta was not ideal over the weekend of 2 December 2017. Part one of the Nationals was held in Wangaratta and Part 2 was held in Melbourne the following week.
Team Robotic Boomerangs 89999A worked hard all season for the In the Zone challenge and while they won some tournaments, others proved to be very valuable learning lessons on how to improve their game and overall ranking. The season itself proved to be challenging with members having their own tasks to do, school work to complete and various other activities. However each member did their best to contribute to the team and commit to practice sessions which finally paid off!
Team Robotic Boomerangs 89999A made their way to Wangaratta despite the inclement weather, to participate in the Nationals. After a long day of a couple of rounds of games, the team made it to the finals and finally walked away with not one but three awards!
Congratulations to Team Robotic Boomerangs for clinching the following awards:
Tournament Champion (in alliance)
Robot Skills Champion
Judges Award
We are incredibly proud of our team for their hard work, dedication and their core values which they displayed all season. This was totally unexpected but very much welcome and one of the great conclusions to 2017! Well done, everyone!
