Advanced Systems Robotics Academy
Age Range: Grades 7 to 10
Prerequisite: Suitable for students who have a keen interest in open source technologies and advanced systems. No prior experience required. Respectful behaviour in the classroom is expected as students in this academy have a high level of interest in exploring technologies. This program will NOT admit students below Grade 7.

The Advanced Systems Academy takes robotics to a higher level and is most suited for students who are interested in mechatronics, robotics and technology and who are looking at exploring mechatronics and robotics in their high school years in preparation for university. No prior experience is required but students are required to participate fully and willing to work with others as a team.
In the Advanced Systems Academy, students will be working with advanced robotics systems such as Circuits, Electronics, Artificial Intelligence, Arduino based systems and VEX Robotics plus be able to experience Competitive Robotics by participating the the yearly VEX Robotics Competition.
The Android-powered robotics platform can be controlled by mobile phones and uses JAVA as the programming language, which is a useful and highly sought after programming skills to attain. With the Android based platform, students will learn and become skilled in technologies which are in demand now.
The JAVA programming language is among the most popular in use today and us the basis for many advanced placement courses. Students also learn about the engineering drive Vex Robotics system and Robot C.
Get ready now for the future you are aiming for. To maximize the learning of all of these systems, it is recommended that students remain part of the academy for at least a year.

Innovate Academy Advanced Robotics Certification modules are available for students who have participated in this program for a minimum of 2 terms (additional certification fees apply). VEX Robotics Levels 1 to 2 are available for students who are driven to succeed and who would like to take their knowledge of the VEX Robotics System to a higher level.

*This program operates on Flexible Delivery due to COVID- 19: Lessons affected by lockdowns will be delivered online. Students are required to attend these sessions. For online lessons, students are required to have a laptop and stable internet connection.

BYOD: This is a BYOD program where students are expected to bring their own Windows (only) laptop to the weekly sessions .

- Bookings /Renewals for every term can be done on this page.
- Fees can be paid anytime during the current term for the next term before the due date.
- Fees must be paid in full before a student can enter the program every term.
- Student must not attend class if unwell and contact the academy for an online alternative or a credit. Public holidays are made up with either an extra lesson or session hours added on which will be decided by Innovate Academy.
- No parent / guardian is permitted to stay in the classroom as the program promotes independent learning.
- COVID- 19: Lessons affected by lockdowns will be delivered online. Students are required to attend these sessions.
