MINECRAFT EDUCATION BLOCK CODING & CREATIVE BUILDING CHALLENGE (ONLINE)

9 January to 13 January 2023 | 08.30 am to 09.30 am

Students learn to code using Minecraft Education edition which has a digital curriculum and provides boundless opportunities for students to explore computer science concepts, enhance their digital learning and literacy, all while also having fun, which is what learning should be like.

LEARN PYTHON (ONLINE)

9 January to 13 January 2023 | 11.30 am to 12.30 pm

A multiple day computer science course which focuses on the basics of Python programming language. Python is an important coding language which is an important coding skill to have. This course introduces students to Python and teaches the basics of Python through activities and a set curriculum aimed at Python beginners.

VEX VIRTUAL ROBOTICS CHALLENGE (ONLINE)

9 January to 13 January 2023 | 12.45 pm to 1.45 pm

This is a multiple day online robotics course. VEXcode VR lets you code a virtual robot using a block based coding environment powered by Scratch Blocks. This course teaches coding concepts and the use of block based codes which allows for online engagement in robotics and learning how to code the robot through various obstacles and missions.

LEARN WEBSITE DEVELOPMENT (HTML, CSS and Javascript) (ONLINE)

9 January to 13 January 2023 | 2.00 pm to 3.00 pm

Students will understand how the internet works and understand key web design concepts and learn to design and build W3C standards aligned webpages using HTML and CSS syntax.

Path: Computer Science  | Prerequisite: No prior experience required.

Grade: Grades 3 to 8

Location: Online Via ZOOM (Student must have access to a laptop and stable internet connection.)

Cost: $180.00 (includes GST) | Early Bird Cost: $160.00 (while promotion lasts)

Course Description:  It’s not just play! In this module, students will learn to code using Minecraft Education edition (block coding) which has a digital curriculum and provides boundless opportunities for students to delve into computer science concepts and coding with a ton of exploration and learning. Through Minecraft Education, students will enhance their digital learning and literacy, all while also having fun, which is what learning should be like.

Complete the entire module in full and receive a digital certificate of attendance.
