STEM Education at Robotics Academy

STEM Education at Robotics Academy

Term 2 Robotics Academy programs came to an end last week and we are finishing up our school robotics programs this week. What can we say except that it has been such a fantastic term, more than the photos can tell!

Our students did Australia proud by emerging 3rd position in the World Championships, our school and public academy programs delved into many aspects of STEM, including coding, robotics, 3D printing. Students attained their Level 1 Robotics Certification, the Mid Year Robotics Competition was a great success and teacher PDs have been ongoing.

There is much to be thankful for and much to look forward to. Thank you to our students, our supportive parents and all those who have believed in our academy programs.

We will not give up on innovation and inspiring our youth to become technology leaders in their own right. Thank you for another great term! ‪#‎loveinnovation‬ ‪#‎STEM‬ ‪#‎STEAM‬ ‪#‎thebestisyettocome‬

Robotics Teacher Professional Development Courses

At Robotics Club, we provide Professional Development (PD) Courses in Robotics for teachers. We have a range of teacher PDs for robotics platforms such as Vex IQ, Vex, Robot Virtual Worlds and Lego Mindstorms EV3.

Robotics Club has provided teachers from several top schools in Melbourne with PD's to help them implement robotics in the classroom. The robotics PDs are designed to equip teachers with knowledge and understand how these platforms work before they implement a robotics program in their classroom.

There are more robotics teacher professional development courses in 2015. Check it out below:

If you are a teacher and would like to find out more about our PDs, simply email us at [email protected] and a member of our education team will get back to you.

A Robotics Club and Autodesk event

Robotics Club in partnership with Autodesk held an event for teachers at the Autodesk facility at Kilsyth. Teachers were given an exclusive industry tour of the Autodesk facility with their cool machines and to come face to face with innovation. They were given a presentation about Autodesk Inventor and other Autodesk products and how Inventor can be used for Vex robotics.

It was an event everyone enjoyed and learnt a lot from from the feedback we got from the teachers. A big thank you to the presenters and staff of Autodesk for hosting this event and for your time and effort.

We are very excited about more upcoming Autodesk events.
