LEGO WeDO 2.0 comes to Innovate Academy! Hurray!
Over the past 5 years, our junior students have been growing and learning robotics with WeDo 1.0 and it has been tons of fun and learning. Not only have the juniors made various cute models, they have also discovered how things work in the process.
Putting the pieces together have been challenging for some children, but most of them, with the right attitude, have continued to persevere and achieved their goals at Innovate Academy.
The beauty of WeDo 1.0 was the way it made robotics simple and fun for the young ones and it certainly built up the confidence of younger kids.
However, WeDo 2.0 takes it all forward literally! Our contraptions can now move away! Yes, we cannot wait to explore this with the juniors at Innovate Academy and at Innovate Tech Camps (our upcoming Spring Holiday Camps). Book your Junior’s place today!
WeDo 2.0 here we come exploring!

Term 2 Robotics Academy programs came to an end last week and we are finishing up our school robotics programs this week. What can we say except that it has been such a fantastic term, more than the photos can tell!
Our students did Australia proud by emerging 3rd position in the World Championships, our school and public academy programs delved into many aspects of STEM, including coding, robotics, 3D printing. Students attained their Level 1 Robotics Certification, the Mid Year Robotics Competition was a great success and teacher PDs have been ongoing.
There is much to be thankful for and much to look forward to. Thank you to our students, our supportive parents and all those who have believed in our academy programs.
We will not give up on innovation and inspiring our youth to become technology leaders in their own right. Thank you for another great term! #loveinnovation #STEM #STEAM #thebestisyettocome

Check out our Australian team doing Australia proud at the world's largest robotics competition!
The VEX Robotics Competition (VRC) has become the world's largest robotics competition!
The competition generates an enormous amount of dedication and passion towards robotics and STEM education. There were 1072 teams competing in the VRC in Louisville, Kentucky over the last weekend. What is even more exciting is that The Guinness Book of World Records has formally recognized that the VEX Robotics World Championships is the largest robotics competition in the World, ever! Take that!
Australians love their sports. Robotics is one of those intellectual sports which is growing in popularity and with Innovate Technology and Robotics Competitions, robotics is fast becoming an intellectual sport while promoting STEM education at the same time. There is no way teams can sit down during a robotics tournament!
If your school would like to part of this competition in Australia, please contact Gary – President of Innovate Technology & Robotics Competitions. We will help you get started for our season in 2016 / 2017.
